About Me

Hi, thanks for checking out my blog, my name is George Simms, I am an amateur photographer interested in portraiture, street photography, landscapes and action sport photography; mainly skateboarding.

I've been interested in photography for a number of years, since I started taking photos of my friends skateboarding, which I still often do, although not as much as I would like.  I now take more portraits and am very interested in street photography, looking at the everyday happenings that go unnoticed.

I am studying Photography at Leeds College of Art, which is a great course, with fantastic resources, and most importantly, is really Fun!

I shoot with a Canon 7D, an assortment of lenses (my favourites being the 28mm and 50mm primes, and the fish eye), and a few flashes and radio triggers.  I also shoot film with an old Chinon 35mm camera, which I have permanently borrowed for my dad.  I also use a Bronica SQ-A, and a Canon EOS 300.  I mainly use the Illford HP5 range of black and white film.
